The Energizer Company was founded in 1875 by Conrad Hubert and is headquartered in Town and Country, Missouri. In the 19th century, one of their first products was a fan-driven horse fly trap called "Hubert's Freaken Flytrap". Since then the company has been committed to being a leading provider of batteries for a wide range of uses.
Today they produce non-rechargeable and rechargeable battery lines for consumer use. They have also created an extensive line of lighting products including flashlights, lanterns, headlamps, emergency lights and other power failure lights. The company does not service any items that require replacement bulbs such as Christmas lights or holiday light strings (except in rare circumstances).
Their manufacturing facilities are located in Australia, China, Malaysia, Mexico and the US.
The company's most significant achievement was its involvement with NASA space missions including the Apollo 11 moon landing. Energizer batteries are included on "Lunar Sample Return Missions" as well as other space travel programs.
