The Exelon Corporation is a Fortune 100 energy company headquartered in Chicago, Illinois. The Exelon Corporation was created in October 2000 when PECO Energy Company, Philadelphia Electric Company and Unicom Corporation merged to form the Exelon corporation. Today it provides service to approximately 10 million electricity customers and about six million natural gas customers through its subsidiaries. It also manages the Exelon Foundation, a non-profit focusing on environmental issues, community programs and education initiatives nationwide.
The current logo for the Exelon Corporation was unveiled in June 2008 when it changed from using two different logos for Exelon Generation and ComEd.
