Snap-on is an American company that produces tools for maintenance and repairs. It was founded in 1920 by William C. Petersen, who was a mechanic working at the Koelliker Root Beer Company. The first product made was a spanner wrench that could be used for both SAE (Society of Automotive Engineers) nuts and bolts.

Today Snap-On has more than 20,000 tools to offer, including mechanics', plumbers' and farmers'. They are available for purchase across more than 100 countries with 400 selling points, making it one of the most widespread brands worldwide. Some items have been specially designed to meet the needs of certain regions or industries – Snap-On France, Semperit in Austria and KIT GLOBAL in Germany, for instance.
