Visteon is a global automotive supplier that provides technology solutions to the world's major automakers. The company operates in two business segments: Automotive Experience, which creates vehicle cockpit electronics and information systems for auto manufacturers throughout the world; and Thermal Systems, which designs and manufactures climate control equipment for vehicles. The company was formed in 2000 when Visteon Corporation acquired the automobile components business of Ford Motor Company.
The Automotive Experience segment designs and develops instrument clusters, infotainment systems, displays, digital cluster modules, electronic door locks and power window switch panels, driver assist products (e.g., video sensors), wireless connectivity (Bluetooth) modules, steering wheel audio controls, memory seats/mirrors (including head rests), exterior lighting, powertrain control modules, battery management systems, wheel end modules, electronic control units, and controllers. Visteon's vehicle cockpit electronics are sold to automakers in North America, Europe, China, Japan and other parts of Asia.
